The Area
The Costa de la Luz ‘Coast of Light’ is one of Spain's most beautiful stretches of coastline. It is renowned for its golden beaches, historic towns and unspoilt scenery. It is situated on the western part of the Andalucian coastline stretching from Portugal in the west to Tarifa in the east. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty, which has managed to retain its Andalusian authenticity.
The coast is divided into 2 sections: Costa de la Luz (Huelva province) which stretches from the Portuguese border to the Donana Park and the River Guadalquivir. The Costa de la Luz (Cadiz province) stretches from the River Guadalquivir to Tarifa at the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea.

Huelva
The Huelva province of the Costa de la Luz runs from the Guadiana river that separates Portugal from Spain to the Guadalquivir river in the east.
Cadiz
The Cadiz side of the Costa de la Luz stretches from Sanlucar de Barrameda in the west to Tarifa in the east.
